When I was writing launch content for a start-up brand I had the blessed opportunity to interview Felecia Hatcher in 2020 or 2021. The interview was never published but the conversation shifted my mindset forever when she asked me, “What is your genius?” and “Who are you uninterrupted?
Before life squeezed you too tight. Before your light shone less brightly. At your core, who are you at your most passionate level? Who are you when you feel like you’re floating on clouds? Not what do you do but who are you? Oftentimes who we are at the core level reflects what we love doing. There’s this book called Do What You Are, one of the best personality/profession-finding books I ever read before heading off to NC State.
Don’t work against yourself. Identify who you are at your core, and I think a whole lot more will become as clear as the finest crystal.
